Candace Robinson has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Candace started their career in 2009 as an Emergency Medicine Physician at LSU/University Hospital and St. Tammany Parish Hospital. In 2012, they joined Ochsner Health System as an Emergency Medicine Physician, and later in 2013, they left the position. In 2014, Candace joined New Orleans East Hospital (NOEH) as an Emergency Medicine Physician and eventually took on roles as Assistant Medical Director of Emergency Department and Medical Director of Emergency Department. From 2019, they have been serving as the Chief Medical Officer at NOEH. In 2015, they also started working as an Emergency Medicine Physician at University Medical Center New Orleans.
Candace Robinson has a strong educational background in the field of medicine. Candace completed their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry at Xavier University of Louisiana from 1997 to 2001. Subsequently, they pursued their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) at Tulane University School of Medicine, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. After their medical studies, they further specialized in the field of Emergency Medicine by completing the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the LSU School of Medicine New Orleans. The residency lasted from 2005 to 2009, leading to their obtaining the degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) with a specialization in Emergency Medicine.
Additionally, Candace Robinson has also obtained certification in Emergency Medicine from the American Board of Emergency Medicine in January 2021.
