Janet Gless

Janet Gless has extensive work experience in the field of education. Janet began their career at UC Santa Cruz in 1995 as an Academic Coordinator, where they served as an outreach coordinator for the Santa Cruz New Teacher Project and taught undergraduate education courses. Janet worked closely with school districts in the Santa Cruz, Silicon Valley, and San Francisco Bay Area to improve support for pre-service and new teachers. In 1998, Janet joined the New Teacher Center, where they held the role of Associate Director until 2010. In this position, they played a key role in program development and partnerships. Janet then took on the role of Chief Officer for Programs and Partnerships at the New Teacher Center in 2010.
