Jen Moon Douglass

Vice President, People and Culture at New Teacher Center

Jen Moon Douglass has extensive work experience in the field of education and talent acquisition. Jen Moon currently holds the position of Vice President of People and Culture at New Teacher Center, where they began working in September 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Partner at TNTP from May 2022 to September 2022.

From 2019 to 2022, Jen worked at the San Francisco Unified School District, first as the Executive Director of Talent Acquisition and Staffing, where they oversaw recruitment and selection processes for a workforce of approximately 10,000 employees. Later, they took on the role of Co-Acting Chief Human Resources Officer.

Before their time at the San Francisco Unified School District, Jen had a long tenure at The New Teacher Project. Jen Moon served as a Partner from 2010 to 2019, leading client engagements and managing staff. Jen Moon also held the position of Director of Recruitment and Selection from 2008 to 2010 and began their tenure at the organization as the Site Manager for the San Francisco Model Staffing Initiative from 2007 to 2008.

Jen's work experience also includes a role as the Teacher Recruitment and Training Manager at The Breakthrough Collaborative from 2005 to 2007 and various positions at Teach for America from 2003 to 2005, including National Recruitment Operations Director and Recruitment Fellow.

Jen Moon Douglass earned a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Boston College, where they attended from 1998 to 2002. Jen Moon later pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Special Education with a focus on Mild/Moderate Disabilities from Boston College, which they completed in the academic year of 2002-2003.
