Jay Dority is an experienced facilities and capital planning director with a strong background in performing arts venue management. Currently serving as the Director of Facilities & Capital Planning at New York City Center since May 2019, Jay previously held the position of Director of Facilities and Capital Projects at New Jersey Performing Arts Center from April 2016 to April 2019, contributing to the center's mission of promoting diverse arts and civic engagement. Jay’s career also includes a tenure as Director of Facilities at Park Avenue Armory, where the focus was on revitalizing a historic venue for alternative arts programming, and as Facility Manager for the Cincinnati Arts Association, overseeing operations for premier arts venues. Earlier professional experience includes serving as General Manager at The Lodge of Montgomery, managing a full-service retirement community. Academic achievements include studies at Northern Kentucky University and Urbana University.
