Stanford Makishi

Stanford Makishi is an experienced arts administrator with a diverse background in programming and organizational leadership. Currently serving as the Vice President for Programming at New York City Center since 2015, Stanford has previously held positions such as Director of Programs & Deputy Director at the Asian Cultural Council from 2011 to 2015 and Associate Producer for Fall for Dance at New York City Center from 2011 to 2014. Earlier career highlights include Executive Director and Director of Creative Services at Baryshnikov Arts Center (2001-2011), Proposal Writer at Sothebys in 2000, and Development Officer and Dancer at Trisha Brown Dance Company from 1992 to 2000. Stanford holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Harvard University, earned between 1983 and 1987.
