Director, Architecture & Engineering at NYC School Construction Authority (SCA)

Manan Khalid-P.E.-LEED AP has a wealth of work experience across various organizations. Manan began their career in 1981 as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering-Kabul University. Manan then moved on to work at Capital Lights Electromechanical as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Projects Coordinator from 1984 to 1991. Following this, they worked as a Civil Engineer at All Nations Realty Corp.-Land Development from 1991 to 1999.

In 1999, Manan joined the New York City Department of Transportation/Bureau of Bridges as a Civil Engineer, and then transitioned to the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) in 2001. At NYCHA, they held multiple roles including Project Engineer, Asst. Chief- Structural Engineering Division, and Project Administrator-Division of Capital Projects.

In 2008, Manan joined the NYC School Construction Authority (SCA) as a Design Project Manager, later becoming the Managing Engineer, and eventually the Director of Architecture & Engineering.

Throughout their career, Manan has gained extensive experience in architecture, engineering, project management, and design.

Manan Khalid-P.E.-LEED AP's education history includes various academic endeavors. From 2007 to 2008, they attended Baruch College, focusing on Leadership studies. In 1995 and 1996, they studied Rehabilitation of Infrastructures at New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering. In the early stages of their education, from 1983 to 1985, Manan obtained a Master's degree in Hydorology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Additionally, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at Kabul University, the dates of which are unspecified.
