Alyssa Schmid

Alyssa Schmid has a diverse work experience in the fields of communications and public relations. Alyssa currently holds the position of Vice President, Communications - Domestic at New York City Tourism + Conventions since July 2022. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Director, Communications - Domestic from August 2021 to June 2022, and as a Director, Communications - Domestic from August 2018 to July 2021.

Before joining New York City Tourism + Conventions, Alyssa worked at Lou Hammond Group, where they held various roles from Account Coordinator to Vice President. During their time at Lou Hammond Group, they facilitated US media relations for international and domestic hotel clients and domestic destination clients. Alyssa worked at the company from February 2012 to August 2018.

Alyssa also gained experience as a Marketing Assistant at Vidicom from December 2011 to February 2012, and as a Food, Wine and Spirits/Administrative Intern at Quinn & Co. Public Relations from September 2011 to December 2011.

Furthermore, they had internships at Seduka Jeans and Talent Resources in June 2010, and at Campus Solutions Inc. as a Promoter from October 2010 to December 2010.

Alyssa Schmid obtained their Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a focus on Public Relations from West Virginia University between the years 2007 and 2011.
