Sara Keegan

Sara Keegan is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in energy law and regulatory compliance. Currently serving as Assistant General Counsel at NYISO since August 2010, Sara specializes in interconnection and tariff compliance, collaborating with transmission owners and developers on projects related to the New York State transmission system. Prior to NYISO, Sara was an associate at Jones Day from August 2002 to August 2010, where the focus was on SEC, CFTC, and FERC government investigations, alongside complex commercial litigation. Earlier experience includes work as an associate at McGuireWoods from September 1999 to July 2002, concentrating on labor and employment litigation. Sara earned a Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School and holds dual bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Modern Languages from Clemson University.
