J. Kevin Gao

J. Kevin Gao's work experience includes serving as Chief Legal Officer and Managing Director at New York Life & MainStay Investments since 2010. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the legal and regulatory affairs of NYLIM's retail business, including mutual funds, ETFs, and SMAs. J. Kevin leads a team of attorneys and paralegals. Prior to this, they worked as Director and Counsel at Credit Suisse Asset Management from 2003 to 2010. Earlier in their career, they served as an Associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP from 1998 to 2003.
