Dennis Weakley

Committee Director - Office Of Senator Roxanne J. Persaud at New York State Senate

Dennis Weakley has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Dennis started their career as an intern at Downtown Albany BID and Newark Downtown District in 2002. In 2003, they worked as a Configurations Manager/Operator at Telvent Farradyne, where they implemented incident management strategies. From 2007 to 2009, Dennis served as an Organizer - State Issues at Housing Works, Inc. Following this, they joined the New York State Senate in 2009, initially working as the Director of the Senate Standing Committee on Social Services. In 2010, they became a Senior Legislative Analyst at the Office of Senator José R. Peralta. Subsequently, Dennis joined New York Capitol Consultants in 2011 as an Associate, where they remained until 2017. In 2018, they returned to the New York State Senate as the Legislative Director for the Office of Jose R. Peralta. Then, in 2019, Dennis took on the role of Committee Director at the Office of Senator Roxanne J. Persaud.

Dennis Weakley completed their education at the University at Albany, SUNY. Dennis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Urban Studies, which they pursued from 1999 to 2003. Later, from 2005 to 2007, they obtained a Master of Regional Planning degree with a specialization in MRP, focusing on urban community development, poverty, and public policy.
