Hannah Kirk has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and positions. Hannah most recently served as the Director of Communications for Senator Shelley Mayer at the New York State Senate. Hannah was responsible for managing the senator's social media pages and increasing their followers. Additionally, they served as a communications coordinator and scheduler for Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick, where they handled social media management, photography, and videography.
Prior to their work at the New York State Senate, Hannah was the Survey Operations Manager at The Marist Institute for Public Opinion (MIPO) Marist Poll, where they managed a large staff and analyzed survey feedback. Hannah also held the position of Field Assistant and Head Student Supervisor, where they gained experience in staff management and providing support during challenging times.
Hannah also worked as an intern for Representative Maloney at the U.S. House of Representatives, where they assisted with casework and correspondence on behalf of constituents.
In addition to their political work, Hannah held various positions at Marist College's student newspaper, Marist Circle, including Director of Multimedia, Managing Editor, Opinion Editor, and Staff Writer.
Hannah also had internship experience with Senator James Skoufis and Senator Monica Martinez at the New York State Senate. In these roles, they conducted research, met with community leaders, collected media records, and assisted with legislative tasks.
Furthermore, Hannah worked as the Head Lifeguard at the Mandell JCC of Greater Hartford.
Hannah Kirk attended Marist College from 2016 to 2020, where they studied Communications in Journalism with minors in Political Science and Media Production. Hannah did not earn a degree during this period. In 2021, Hannah returned to Marist College to pursue a Master of Public Administration (MPA). Currently, their education in the MPA program is ongoing.
