Jeremy Cooney

Jeremy Cooney is an accomplished New York State Senator, currently serving as Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee of Procurement & Contracts and the Senate Subcommittee on Cannabis, while also being a member of several other committees. Prior to this role, Jeremy Cooney was a Democratic candidate for NYS Senate District 56 and has held various positions in public strategy and community relations, including Vice President at Mercury and Chief of Staff for the Mayor of Rochester. Jeremy Cooney's extensive background in fundraising and development includes serving as Vice President of Development for the YMCA of Greater Rochester and Principal at Red Thread Strategies. Jeremy Cooney holds a J.D. (cum laude) from Albany Law School and a B.A. (cum laude) in Public Policy Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
