Geetha Verhaeghe has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. Geetha started their career as an Assistant Crown Counsel at Crown Law in 2006 and worked there until 2010. Following that, they worked at The Treasury Solicitor's Department as a Lawyer - Grade 7 from 2010 to 2011. In 2012, they joined HM Revenue & Customs as a Lawyer (Grade 7) for a few months before moving on to The Law Society of England and Wales as a Legal Advisor from 2012 to 2014. Geetha then worked as a Senior Solicitor at Minter Ellison Rudd Watts from 2014 to 2015 before joining the Ministry of Justice - New Zealand as a Senior Solicitor from 2015 to 2018. Currently, they are working at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, where they started as an Associate Counsel in 2018 and is now serving as the Lead Counsel.
Geetha Verhaeghe pursued their education from 2000 to 2005 at Victoria University of Wellington. During this time, they obtained a dual degree of LLB/BSc, specializing in the fields of Law and Science.
