Andre Lovatt has a diverse and extensive work experience. Andre has held various leadership roles in different organizations. Their most recent position was as the Chief Infrastructure Officer at KiwiRail, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Chairperson at BLAKE since 2019. From 2018 to 2023, they worked at Auckland Airport, holding roles such as Chief Infrastructure Officer and General Manager Infrastructure, where they were responsible for leading and developing the airport's infrastructure development and delivery team. Before that, Andre was the Chair at Regenerate Christchurch, leading planning activities for the post-earthquake regeneration of Greater Christchurch. Andre also served as the Chief Executive at The Arts Centre - Christchurch, focused on the restoration of the Arts Centre precinct. Andre's earlier experience includes being a Director at Christchurch International Airport Limited, Principal at Arup's Singapore office, Engineer at Powell Fenwick, and Laborer at Husband Construction.
Andre Lovatt completed their primary and secondary education at Shirley Boys' High School from 1988 to 1992. Andre then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BE (Hons)) and a Master's degree (ME) from the University of Canterbury, graduating in 1997. Andre later attended the National University of Singapore from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained an MBA with a specialization in Business. In 2007, they also completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
