Debbie Bax

Debbie Bax is a finance professional with extensive experience in various roles within government and non-profit organizations. Currently, as a Finance Capability Specialist at the Department of Corrections NZ, Debbie focuses on developing training frameworks to enhance the financial capabilities of budget holders. Debbie has held significant positions including Senior Advisor in the Government Finance Profession at The Treasury, where efforts were made to advance the finance profession within the New Zealand government, and Change Management Specialist at the Ministry of Education, where a change management plan for the finance team was developed and implemented. With a solid educational background, including a Master's Degree in International Relations from Victoria University of Wellington and various qualifications in accounting and adult education, Debbie brings a diverse skill set to organizational development and financial management initiatives.
