Laura Thomas

Laura Thomas is an experienced HR and health safety professional, currently serving as a Senior Advisor in Health Safety and Wellbeing, as well as in People and Capability at New Zealand Red Cross since March 2021. Previously, Laura worked as a Senior HR Policy Advisor for the New Zealand Government from May 2018 to March 2021, and as an HR and H&S Consultant at Engage HR from April 2016 to April 2018. Additional roles include HR and H&S Advisor at HR Connect Ltd, Human Resources Advisor at Wise Group, and Human Resources Advisor at NDA Group. Laura began a career in HR as an HR Officer at Forlong & Maisey between October 2005 and July 2007. Academically, Laura holds a Bachelor of Communication Studies from the University of Waikato and is currently pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management from the same institution.
