Heather Decker is an experienced independent filmmaker and educator, currently serving as an independent filmmaker at Phantom Cinema Films since August 2022, producing short films such as "Fearless" and the upcoming "Bloodline." Serving as the Coordinator of Access and Equity at Newark Unified School District since June 2022, Heather focuses on promoting equity in education. Additionally, as Coordinator of Events and Opportunities and a board member at REEL since August 2021, Heather plays a key role in organizing the annual REEL Film Festival in Oakland, CA. Previous positions include Master School Counselor and Counseling Network Course Facilitator at Leadership Public Schools, where Heather managed a large caseload of students while supporting the school’s administration. With a Master's Degree in Educational Counseling and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from San Jose State University, Heather brings a strong educational background alongside extensive experience in student support and film production.
