Cassie Sklarz Ed.d.

Cassie Sklarz, Ed.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in education, communication, caregiving, and freelance work. From 2017 to the present, they have been the Director of Communications for the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, where they previously served as a Communication Strategist from 2017 to 2021. Prior to this, Cassie worked at Fordham University, holding positions such as Senior Associate Director and Associate Director/Manager of Special Programs and Assessment. Cassie also worked as an Assistant Director for Leadership Development and Training and a First Year Formation Instructor at Fordham University. Additionally, Cassie has experience working with CaringKind, The Heart of Alzheimer's Caregiving, where they served as the Chair for Athlete's to End Alzheimer's, TackleALZ NYC, and played an active role in fundraising and raising awareness for Alzheimer's Disease. Cassie has also worked as a Photography/Social Media Consultant on a freelance basis. Cassie began their career at SUNY Oneonta as a Residence Hall Director and Orientation Coordinator.

Cassie Sklarz, Ed.D., completed their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Executive Leadership, Administration, and Policy from Fordham University in 2019. Cassie also obtained an Advanced Certificate in School District Leader from Fordham University in the same year. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Education (M.S.Ed.) in Counselor Education from SUNY Oneonta in 2005. In 2004, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Mass Communications, also from SUNY Oneonta. Cassie completed their high school education at Newburgh Free Academy between 1997 and 2000.

In terms of additional certifications, in September 2015, Cassie Sklarz obtained a certification in Personal Leadership (Online) from The Institute for Personal Leadership.
