Curtis’ guiding quote is “Remember the world will judge you based on how you judge yourself’. It came from Vincent Mueller, the noted contemporary philosopher who studies ethical, legal and socioeconomic issues. This choice of quote, and philosopher, is quite “on brand” for Curtis who is also fond of exploring serious topics – reading books related to economics and business in his “spare time”.

Even his go-to favorite film, Leaving Las Vegas, explores complex and tragic issues.

Curtis is a proud graduate of Johnson & Wales University (JWU) in Providence, Rhode Island with an MBA in Hospitality and a concentration in marketing; also receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, with a minor in Japanese Language and Literature from Kyonggi University in Seoul, South Korea.

A highly respected and accomplished revenue management professional with almost two decades working in the hospitality and travel industry, he also continues to serve as a senior Non-Commissioned Officer in the Army Reserve.

Just when you think you have Curtis pegged as the consummate intellectual, he shares that he also is an avid fan of pop and R&B, which, to be fair, often feature the greatest modern-day philosophers.
