Michael Workman is the Development Coordinator at The Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art since February 2024, focusing on grant writing and fundraising to advance the organization's mission. As the Executive Director of Bridge Art, Nfp since January 1999, Workman leads a registered Illinois 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. In addition, Workman serves as a freelance reporter for the Chicago Tribune Media Group and The Guardian, covering arts and culture. With extensive writing experience, Workman contributes to Newcity as a Maker Beat Columnist and Dance Critic and has held various roles with publications like Flash Art International and the Chicago Reader. Workman is also a co-founder of both the New Material Art Fair and Art Multiples, contributing to the development and execution of art-related events and initiatives. Workman earned a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Philosophy from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Northrop High School.
