Giordano Scalzo

Giordano Scalzo is an experienced mobile engineering professional currently serving as Mobile Engineering Lead at NewDay since January 2025. Previously, Giordano worked as a Mobile Software Consultant at YLD and held the position of Lead React Native Developer at Urmet Spa, where accomplishments included product-ionising the QRCall app and converting it to Typescript. Giordano also functioned as Head of Mobile at Cera and Pret A Manger, and had roles as Mobile Architect at The New Yorker and Senior Software Developer at NatWest Markets, contributing to the CurrencyPay Mobile App. Additional experience includes senior iOS development for Trainline and JUST EAT, and authoring multiple books on Swift for Packt. Giordano holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Politecnico di Torino and is a Certified Scrum Master.
