Deb Gualtieri

Deb Gualtieri, SPHR; SHRM-SCP, serves as the Senior Director of People Operations at Comstar and brings a storied and successful track record of delivering HR strategies aligned with business goals and objectives. Deb’s expertise rings true to her title: she’s a certified people person. She works to develop solid relationships with all levels of employees and uses the values of empathy, respect, and personal responsibility to help create a positive working environment for employees and create processes and programs that benefit the company as well as its employees.

Deb began her career in operations roles, first by supervising a claims division and thereafter overseeing premium processing and settlements for multi-million-dollar deposits as an operations leader of a prominent insurance company. She then used her operations and management foundation as a springboard into her successful career in HR. She holds numerous specializations and certifications, including Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), Society for Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional, and an associate degree in general studies. She has been recognized for creating numerous rewarding community partnerships that have drawn hundreds of volunteers, spoke on a featured panel for the National Association of Plan Advisors, and served as a guest speaker on a popular industry radio show called HR Today.

At Comstar, Deb is responsible for designing the company’s HR department to include the formulation and implementation of compensation strategy and practices, training and development, benefits strategy and administration, talent management, and organizational design and development.
