Kevin Short

Kevin Short has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Kevin worked at Newforma as a Product Owner starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Autodesk from 2005 to 2022, where they held roles as a Senior Product Owner and a Senior Software Engineer. At Autodesk, they were involved in software development for various projects such as Revit Cloud Worksharing, Revit Server, and Map3D.

Before joining Autodesk, Kevin worked at Bizfon as a Principal Software Engineer from 2001 to 2005, where they worked on developing analog PBX systems and SIP IP telephones. Prior to that, they worked at Xiox/@Comm Corporation as a Principal Software Engineer from 1997 to 2001, where they managed software development efforts and worked on integrated telecom and datacom access devices.

Kevin's earlier experience includes working at Andover Controls as a Software Engineer from 1992 to 1997, where they developed workstation software and designed a CASE product for automating programming of embedded facility automation systems. Kevin also worked at BALCO, Inc. as a Design Engineer from 1988 to 1992, where they designed automated HVAC, power, and security systems. Kevin started their career at New England Telephone/Bell Atlantic as an Engineering Consultant from 1985 to 1988, where they worked on analyzing engineering drawings and reorganizing storage systems.

Throughout their career, Kevin has gained experience in software development, product management, engineering, and system design.

Kevin Short has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. Additionally, they have obtained certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from the Scrum Alliance in March 2017.
