Andreas Murphy

Andreas Murphy has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. They started their career in 2017 as a Cultural Exchange Participant at Walt Disney World, where they received training in guest interaction and satisfaction. In 2018, they worked as an Employer Accounts Agent at the Canada Revenue Agency, where they analyzed taxpayer information and resolved accounts requiring corrective action.

In 2020, Andreas took on two roles simultaneously. They worked as a Research Assistant at The School of Public Policy, conducting research on industrial options for Partial Upgrading of Bitumen. They also participated in the REDEVELOP program, researching geothermal energy policies and presenting their findings at Geoconvention 2021.

In 2021, Andreas joined TC Energy as a Policy Analyst in Government Relations & Policy, where they worked until 2022. They then transitioned to the role of Regulatory Policy Analyst in Regulatory Strategy, which they held until early 2023.

Currently, Andreas is employed as a Business and Innovation Specialist at Newfoundland Power, starting in March 2023. Andreas Murphy completed their Bachelor of Commerce Honours (Co-operative) degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland, where they studied from 2015 to 2020. During their time there, they also obtained a Certificate in Public Policy with a focus on Economic Policy. In 2017, Andreas completed an internship as part of the Disney College & International Program at The Walt Disney Company. Andreas then pursued a Master of Public Policy at the University of Calgary from 2020 to 2021.
