Ryan Pint

Ryan Pint has worked in various roles since 2005. In 2005, they were a Lab Technician at Minnesota Valley Testing Lab and a Microbiology Lab Tech at Minnesota Valley Testing Labs. In 2006, they were a Food Technologist at Tone's Spices, a Lab Technician, Quality Assurance/Quality Control at REAM's Frozen Food, and a Primary Chemical Analyst at Monsanto Company. Since 2007, they have been working at NewLink Genetics as a Process Development Manager, Manager of Manufacturing, and Research Associate. In these roles, they have researched new technologies for commercialization of HyperAcute™ vaccine, served as a business liaison between NLG and CMO's, managed business development, worked with director of manufacturing and quality assurance/quality control departments scheduling vaccine production to meet clinical demands, managed vaccine production employees, completed employee performance reviews and development goals, reviewed, wrote, and updated standard operating procedures, assured manufacture of HyperAcute™ vaccine under current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and 21 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Parts 210 and 211, oversaw daily operations of vaccine manufacturing department in cGMP manufacturing facilities, monitored production standards and production runs assuring quality and correcting any problems, conducted pathogen detection testing for safety of food products for public consumption, performed microbiology testing for quality assurance/quality control purposes, established detection of aerobic bacteria, mold and yeast, and total coliforms including E., conducted quality testing of food products for safe preservation, processing, packaging, and distribution to consumers, performed hunter color testing, distillations, and scoville heat testing, tested for general appearance and flavor, and utilized ISO 17025:2005 certified lab practices, conducted testing on food products for detection, and reported various pathogens including data analysis for reporting to clients.

Ryan Pint obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biology: Biomedical Studies from the University of Northern Iowa in 2003. In 2013, they obtained a Nova Biomedical-Advanced Operator on BioProfile FLEX certification from Nova Biotech.
