Dawid Pretorius

Dawid Pretorius is an experienced mining professional currently serving as the GM of Porcupine Gold Mines at Newmont Corporation since September 2022. Prior to this role, Dawid Pretorius held various significant positions at Glencore, including Director of Open Cut Operations and General Manager since May 2014. Additionally, Dawid Pretorius has been the General Manager of Operations at Rio Tinto Coal Australia since May 2011 and served as the General Manager of Mining at Palabora Mining Company from May 2008 to April 2011. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science (MSc) in Mineral Resource Throughput Management from the University of the Free State and an Honours Degree in Science, Geology from North West University, South Africa.
