Joe Vaccaro

Joseph Vaccaro, PsyD, first joined Newport Academy as a family therapist, working with teens, young adults, and families. In the Clinical Director role, he supports the clinical team in providing exceptional care and compassion to the families we serve.

Joseph holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and has extensive experience in the field. Before joining the Newport Academy team, he was clinical supervisor at Community Services, Garden Grove, California, supervising and training psychological assistants and interns. He was a clinical psychologist for four years at Pathways prior to that position, and also worked as a psychologist for Sunny Hills Behavioral Health Incorporated in Fullerton, California. Joseph completed his postdoctoral residency at Long Beach Job Corps, Long Beach, California, administering individual and group clinical supervision to doctoral candidates and practicum interns.
