René Sotola

Rene Sotola is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the technology and telecommunications sectors. As the retired CEO of NewPush from July 2016 to September 2018, Sotola collaborated with the CTO to achieve a remarkable 500% organic revenue growth and eliminate debt, while maintaining full control over the company's direction. Prior roles include Vice President of Global Communications, Mobility & IoT at CGI, where strategic positioning for telecom offerings was led, and a Senior Principal role at American Management Systems, contributing to innovative product development. Earlier career achievements include turning around an unprofitable business unit at Evolving Systems, leading European engineering at The Santa Cruz Operation, and transforming a non-profitable UNIX business unit at Logica UK. Sotola holds a Master’s degree in Computational Science from the University of Leeds and another Master’s degree in Computer Science from Prague University.
