Sarah Gallo

Sarah was appointed as Chief People Officer in September 2021.

Working with Rebekah Brooks and the Executive team at News UK, she is pivotal to the transformation of the organisation to a successful digital-first and data-led media business in growth.

With a team overseeing HR, recruitment, employee experience, diversity & inclusion and benefits & rewards, Sarah is a key stakeholder in facilitating a culture across News UK based on their core values of Passion, Principle and Purpose. She has also led the award-winning work around supporting and promoting wellness among colleagues across News UK and Ireland.

Sarah joined News UK in 2018 as HR Director, providing strategic HR support for areas including Editorial, Technology, Marketing, Data & Insights at News UK, and as HR Director for Newsprinters, their print logistics, innovation and solutions business.

She previously worked for Tesco in various Commercial, Operation and Senior HR roles across the UK and global businesses.
