Jorge Yip

Senior Technical Support Engineer at NewStore

Jorge Yip has worked in various roles throughout their career. Jorge started as a Debris Survey Management at A.D.A Engineering Inc. in 2005, where they managed and troubleshooted the Garmin GPS System and collected data on location and damage to city property.

In 2006, they worked as an Assistant to the General Manager at Supermercado Yip, where they performed daily price checks, operated Microsoft Retail Management System, and printed out price tags.

From 2008 to 2015, they worked at Western Digital as a Competitive Analysis Project Engineer Intern and later as a Senior Design Systems Engineer. In these roles, they organized meetings, created project planning tools, and maintained competitor drive roadmap.

From 2015 to 2017, Jorge was a Lead Systems Integration Engineer at Western Digital, where they worked on the integration of systems. Jorge then transitioned to become a Lead Test and Reliability Systems Engineer for the same company.

Starting in 2017, Jorge joined Amazon as a Support Engineer. In this role, they worked on Python code, implemented audit scans, built components, aided in process improvement, automated checklists, and worked on customer issues by debugging problems and analyzing device logs.

Most recently, Jorge joined NewStore, Inc. in 2021 as a Technical Support Engineer.

Jorge Yip holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management, specializing in Industrial Engineering, which they obtained from California State Poly-Technical University. Jorge completed this degree between the years 2007 and 2009. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Florida International University, specializing in Electrical Engineering, from 2001 to 2005.
