Dan Mackey is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the mortgage industry and real estate education. Currently serving as a Senior Loan Officer at NEXA Mortgage since March 2023, Dan has also established a successful brand of BBQ sauces as the Creator, Producer, and Owner of Zip Zam and Zip Zam Bam BBQ Sauces since 2015. With a robust background as a certified Real Estate Instructor for the Louisiana Real Estate Commission and the Louisiana Office of Financial Institutions since 2000, Dan has worked in various capacities within the mortgage sector, including positions at loanDepot, Hancock Whitney, and Assurance Financial Group, among others. Dan's early career included leadership roles such as President of Key Mortgage Services Inc. and Sales and Operations Manager at Dwight Andrus Real Estate Services. Dan holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University.
