Miquel Rico

Miquel Rico has extensive work experience in supply chain and operations management. Miquel currently holds the position of EMEA Operations Director at Nexeo Plastics since May 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the EMEA Supply Planning & Procurement Manager at Nexeo Plastics from March 2019 to April 2020.

Before joining Nexeo Plastics, Miquel held various roles at AkzoNobel, starting as an Engineering Internship in 2003. Miquel then worked as a Planner-SAP Project Key User from September 2010 to January 2012, followed by the role of Country Supply Lead & Logistics Manager from January 2012 to March 2017. Finally, they served as the Regional Planning Manager Europe from April 2017 to March 2019.

Additionally, Miquel also gained experience at PAUL HARTMANN AG as a Supply Chain Technician from March 2009 to August 2010 and at Freudenberg Household Products as a Materials Planner from February 2008 to March 2009.

Miquel'searly career began at HORMIPRESA, where they worked as a Project draftsman at the engineering office from February 2004 to February 2008.

From 1998 to 2003, Miquel attended the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona where they obtained a degree in Industrial Technical Engineering, specializing in the Chemical Industry.

Following this, from 2005 to 2007, they studied at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they completed a Licenciatura (Bachelor's) in Industrial Management Engineering.

In the year 2007, Miquel continued their education at the same institution, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and obtained a Master Executive degree in Supply Chain Management. This program extended until 2008.

Additionally, Miquel Rico holds a Certificate in advanced English from the University of Cambridge, although specific dates for this certification were not provided.
