Ilari Aalto has a strong background in architecture and enterprise-level IT strategy. Beginning in 2001, Aalto worked as a Software Architect at Comptel, where they provided guidance on SOA, integration, and Java-based software development. From 2011 to 2012, Aalto served as an Integration Architect at Luottokunta, focusing on SOA and integration architecture. In 2013, Aalto transitioned to Nets Oy as an Integration Architect before joining Nets Denmark A/S in 2013 as an Enterprise Architect. In this role, they played a key role in European M&A engagements and was responsible for mobile payments and e-commerce. Aalto continued their tenure at Nets Denmark A/S as a Senior Enterprise Architect, leading projects in merchant services, acquiring, and omni-channel commerce until April 2023. Currently, Aalto is the Chief Architect at Nexi Group, leading a team and spearheading the design and implementation of the company's strategy for "Leading European PayTech" in the eCommerce sector.
Ilari Aalto started their education in 2000, attending the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences for a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Information Technology. Ilari completed their studies in 2003.
In addition to their formal education, Ilari Aalto has obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 2013, they received the TOGAF Foundation certification from The Open Group. In 2010, they obtained the Java 6 Platform Programmers Certification from Sun Microsystems. In 2021, they earned the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft. In 2020, they also obtained the SAFe Agilist Certification from Scaled Agile, Inc.
