Sara Bakhtiar

Sara Bakhtiar is an experienced professional in research and communications, currently serving as a Research and Communications Associate at Nexight Group since August 2022, following a role as Research and Communications Analyst. Previous experience includes working with the International Rescue Committee as an SIV Cohort Assistant for Operation Allies Welcome, and an internship with the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. Sara has held various positions with the U.S. Department of State, including Political Research Assistant and Graduate Consultant. Academic credentials include a Master of International Affairs in International Security Policy from Columbia | SIPA and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Affairs from Fordham University. Early career experience also includes tutoring with AmeriCorps and research assistance at the Arnold A. Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies.
