Sanisha Naidoo

Sanisha Naidoo has a diverse work experience in the field of science and research. Sanisha currently works at Next Biosciences as a Medical Scientist since February 2023. Prior to that, they gained practical experience as an Intern Medical Scientist at the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) from February 2021 to January 2023. During their internship, they were actively involved in laboratory-based surveillance and outbreak detection of enteric bacterial pathogens. Sanisha also received training in biosafety and biosecurity at the Division of Biosafety and Biosecurity at NICD.

Before their internship, Sanisha worked briefly as a Microbiology Technician at the University of KwaZulu-Natal from January 2020 to April 2020. Sanisha also served as a Research Assistant at the Pollution Research Group from August 2019 to January 2020. In addition, they have teaching experience as a Practical Teaching Assistant at the University of KwaZulu-Natal from February 2016 to July 2018, and as a SMART tutor from January 2013 to June 2013.

Overall, Sanisha Naidoo has a strong background in medical science, laboratory research, and teaching, which makes their a valuable asset in the field.

Sanisha Naidoo completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 2011 to 2013. Sanisha then pursued further education and obtained a Bachelor of Science honors degree from the same university in 2014. Finally, they completed their Master's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 2015 to 2019.
