Gerard ten Bolscher currently serves as the Chief Innovation & Technology Officer and a Member of the Executive Board at Avebe since August 2016. In addition to this role, Gerard holds positions on several supervisory boards, including the Next Food Collective, Carbohydrate Competence Center, and Innovation Hub Oost Groningen. Gerard is also the Vice President of Starch Europe and a Board Member of the Dutch Biorefinery Cluster. Previously, Gerard held significant roles at Corbion, Henkel, Ingredion Incorporated, and Unilever, focusing on innovation and technology within various sectors including biochemicals and bio materials. Gerard earned a degree in Organic Chemistry from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam between 1991 and 1994.
