Maxime Rioux has a strong background in game design, with experience working at several companies. Maxime began their career at Frima in 2011, where they worked as a QA Technician before transitioning to the role of Game Designer. Maxime worked in this position until 2015 before joining another company called Frima in 2016, where they continued their work as a Game Designer until 2016. In 2017, they joined Outfit7 as a Senior Game Designer, where they were responsible for leading the design effort and managing a team of game designers. Maxime worked in this role for 2 and a half years before joining Next Games in 2021 as a Senior Game Designer.
Maxime Rioux's education history begins in 2007 when they attended Cégep Lévis-Lauzon and obtained a DEC in Cinema in 2009. Following this, Maxime Rioux enrolled in Cégep Limoilou in 2009 and completed an AEC in Video Game Design in 2010. They also obtained a Certification Industrielle in Video Game Design from ENDI (École Nationale en Divertissement Interactif) in December 2010.
In terms of additional certifications, Maxime Rioux became a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) through Scrum Alliance in November 2021. They also obtained a Certified Accessible Player Experience Practitioner certification from The AbleGamers Charity in May 2023.
