Vesa Ylhäinen

Vesa Ylhäinen has extensive work experience in the gaming industry. Vesa started their career at Nokia as a part-time trainee, where they were involved in game testing and led the N-Gage game pilot program from September 2003 to July 2005. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as a part-time Software Engineer Trainee at Fastrax Ltd, gaining experience in data-assisted navigation, C programming, and Bash scripting.

In 2010, Vesa worked as a Research Assistant at the Finnish Geodetic Institute for three months. Vesa then joined Rovio Entertainment Ltd. in 2013 and held various roles, including Game Designer Trainee, Associate Producer, Producer, and Game Designer. Their tenure at Rovio lasted until March 2018.

After that, Vesa joined Yousician as a Product Manager - Revenue, contributing to the company's revenue strategy from September 2018 to January 2019. Currently, they work at Next Games as a Game Designer, and recently, they have been promoted to the role of Senior Game Designer in February 2022.

Vesa Ylhäinen attended Päivölä Upper Secondary School from 2004 to 2005. Vesa then pursued a degree in Computer Science at the University of Helsinki from 2005 to 2013.
