Justin began their career as a Policy Research Assistant at the US Department of Commerce, where they analyzed data on internet and technology usage. Justin then worked as a Health and Human Services Graduate Assistant at the California Department of Finance, where they conducted research on the usage of services for ex-offenders.

Justin then transitioned to the field of education and workforce research, working as a Research Assistant at the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce. Following this, they joined the Public Policy Institute of California as a Research Associate, where they utilized statistical programming languages to analyze large datasets on arrests in California and authored reports and fact sheets on prison and parole populations.

Moving into the tech industry, Justin joined Scoop Technologies, Inc. as a Data Analyst and later as a Senior Growth Analyst. In these roles, they led analytics efforts for market research surveys, designed and conducted experiments to increase liquidity on the platform, and quantified the impacts of these experiments using SQL, Python, and R.
