Ian Schlander

Ian Schlander is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in scientific research and venture investment. Currently serving as an Investor Relations Partner and Venture Associate at Next Sequence® since July 2023, Ian also holds the role of Associate Scientist - Early Stage R&D at Helaina since April 2021. Previous positions include Project Manager at House Hats, Venture Fellow at Venture Institute, and leadership roles at iGEM EPIC and iGEM Foundation, where involvement in global synthetic biology competitions was prominent. Ian's earlier experience includes a Molecular Biology and Metabolic Engineering internship at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and a Professional Research Associate position at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Ian holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Science from Florida State University, awarded in 2019.
