William Smith

Will Smith joined Next47 in 2022 as a Venture Partner based in Palo Alto. His focus is on AI/ML/Dev and SaaS. In addition, Will serves as General Partner at Octave, a seed-stage fund with a focus on enterprise data startups. As an investor, Will has worked with notable companies including Forethought, Notion, Tonic, Transform, Weights and Biases, and Datavant, whose 2021 $7.4 billion merger with Ciox Health created the nation’s largest health data ecosystem.

Prior to investing, Will founded and served as CEO and Chairman of Euclid, where he had a front seat to the evolution of data infrastructure, machine learning, and privacy. Will scaled the company to become one of the world’s largest real-world behavioral datasets before it was acquired by WeWork in 2018. Will has deep empathy for founders and derives tremendous fulfillment in supporting them with everything from the personal to the tactical.

Will holds a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University.
