Kristen Beneduce

Kristen Beneduce has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Kristen is currently working at Nextdoor as a Deputy CISO and Corporate Security Engineer. Prior to this, they were a Member at Dreamers & Doers®, a Vice President and Affiliate Founder at WiCyS Silicon Valley Affiliate, and a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer and Incident Responder at Sandia National Laboratories. Kristen has held positions as a Cyber Defense Research Scientist at Sandia National Laboratories, Research Associate and NSF SFS Scholar in Computer Science at Naval Postgraduate School, and Operations Manager at McMaster-Carr. Kristen also served as a Board of Directors Representative at the Institute of Contemporary Arts. Additionally, Kristen was a Fellow in the OnDeck Community Builders program. Kristen Beneduce has a diverse education history. Kristen obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania in the year 2008. During their time at the university, they pursued Visual Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences as well as Consumer Psychology in the Wharton Business School.

In 2009 and 2010, Kristen earned a certificate in Information Systems from Villanova University. Following this, they pursued their Master of Science degree in Computer Science with a focus on Information Assurance, Cyber Security, and Forensics at the Naval Postgraduate School. Kristen completed their master's degree in 2013.

Seeking further education, Kristen attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2017 to 2019. During this time, they obtained a certificate in Data Science and Analytics.
