Mehmet Gunes

Mehmet Gunes is a Battery Test Engineer with extensive experience in the field of energy storage applications. Currently employed at Lyten since June 2023, Gunes previously held the same title at NexTech Batteries from September 2021 to June 2023. Prior to this, Gunes worked as a Research and Development Assistant at the Illinois Institute of Technology from January 2020 to January 2021, focusing on the synthesis and fabrication of electrode materials for rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, with proficiency in characterization techniques such as X-ray Diffraction and Scanning Electron Microscopy. Gunes holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology (August 2019 - June 2021), an Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the College of DuPage (January 2019 - May 2019), and studied Mechanical Engineering at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University (2017 - 2018).
