Ricardo Pastor is the VP of Global Quality, Program Launch, and Manufacturing Operations at Nexteer Automotive. Ricardo has over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, including managerial positions at Delphi and General Motors.
Ricardo started their career at General Motors in May 1984 as a Product Manager. In this role, they were responsible for product planning and execution for steering columns, intermediate shafts, rack and pinion gears, and electrical power steering systems. Ricardo also led strategic studies and selected options for product line life cycles.
In December 1997, Ricardo transitioned to Delphi, where they served as Sr. Manager for Operations Planning. In this role, they were responsible for defining and executing a consolidation plan for outside services (warehousing, service unitizing and repackaging). Ricardo also planned and executed the shut-down of a dedicated manufacturing facility for intermediate shafts.
In February 2010, Ricardo joined Nexteer Automotive as VP of Global Quality, Program Launch, and Manufacturing Operations. In this role, they are responsible for leading the global quality organization and developing innovative methods to ensure product quality. Ricardo is also responsible for launching new programs and products on time and within budget while meeting all customer quality requirements.
Ricardo Pastor has completed an Executive Development Program (EDP) at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. Ricardo also holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Oakland University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Saginaw Valley State University. Ricardo is a graduate of Douglas MacArthur High School.
