David Reuter

David Reuter is the Vice President and Chief Communications & Marketing Officer at NextEra Energy, Inc. since October 2018. Prior to this role, Reuter served as Vice President of Global Communications Operations at Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. from July 2016 to July 2018, where oversight of regional communications teams and coordination with global headquarters were key responsibilities. Reuter also held various communication leadership roles at Nissan North America, including Vice President of Corporate Communications from June 2010 to June 2016, and Senior Director of Corporate Communications for The Americas. Earlier experience includes positions at Bentley Motors, Ford Motor Company, and Event Management Corporation, starting a career in public relations. David Reuter earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Oakland University in 1993.
