Elly Underwood

Elly Underwood is an experienced engineering professional with a versatile background in program management, design, and research and development. Currently serving as a Senior Program Manager at Nextern since April 2019, Elly has previously held roles as a Senior R&D Engineer and Design Engineer II at Integer Holdings Corporation. Additional experience includes roles such as R&D Mechanical Engineer at Teleflex Incorporated and Mechanical Test Engineer at Phillips-Medisize. Elly's career journey began with a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, complemented by internships that honed skills in test equipment design and engineering leadership. Elly is also Six Sigma Green Belt Certified and has a strong foundation in mechanical design principles, having worked extensively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
