Justin Makinson

Justin Makinson has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade in various financial and analytical roles. Justin started their career at WellPoint as an Analyst in 2007. Justin then moved on to Village Pantry, LLC as a Financial Analyst in 2008, followed by a role as a Financial Analyst II at Comcast Cable from 2009 to 2010. Justin then worked as a Manager of Business Analytics at Stericycle from 2010 to 2013. From 2013 to 2015, Justin served as the Controller/Senior Finance Analyst at Moorehead Communications dba TCC, Verizon Premium Wireless Retailer. Justin then joined NextGear Capital where they held the positions of Director of Financial Planning and Analysis from 2015 to 2017, before being promoted to Senior Director in 2017. Currently, Justin is working at Trine University as a Graduate Adjunct Professor in Business Analytics starting from 2022.

Justin Makinson's education history starts in 2003, when they enrolled at Indiana Wesleyan University. Justin pursued a Bachelor of Science degree and graduated Cum Laude in 2007, majoring in Finance and Economics. After that, they furthered their education at Butler University from 2010 to 2015. During this period, Justin obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance.

In addition to their formal education, Justin Makinson also obtained a certification in Accelerating Change Readiness and Agility. This certification was acquired from UC Berkeley Executive Education in February 2022.
