Jennifer Baron

Jennifer Baron has extensive experience in journalism, marketing, and public relations, with a focus on promoting regional culture and innovation. Currently serving as the Events, Jobs & NEXT Up Editor at NEXTpittsburgh since February 2014, Jennifer oversees content that highlights advancements in Pittsburgh. Jennifer's prior roles include Director of Marketing and Outreach & Co-organizer at Handmade Arcade, Development & Marketing Associate at SLB Radio, and Pop Filter Editor & Development News Writer at Pop City Media. Additional experience includes positions in public relations and writing for various organizations, as well as contributing a quarterly column on sign history to Western Pennsylvania History Magazine. Educationally, Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Art History from Mount Holyoke College and has completed a museum education internship at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Additionally, Jennifer co-created the award-winning Pittsburgh Signs Project during a fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University.
