Melissa Hayes

Melissa Hayes currently serves as Associate Director at NextPoint Therapeutics, Inc. since October 2022, with a robust background in molecular diagnostic assay development and regulatory submissions across various companies, including Oncorus, Inc., Genocea Biosciences, and Agios Pharmaceuticals. A former Senior Scientist and Scientist II, Melissa has extensive experience in research, particularly in immune responses and viral interactions, established during a postdoctoral fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and through a graduate research assistantship at the Institute of Human Virology. Educational credentials include a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and a BS in Biotechnology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
