John German

John German is a seasoned professional in the energy sector with extensive experience in electrical and control systems. Currently serving as the Senior Services Excitation Lead at Nexus Controls, a Baker Hughes business, since November 2022, John previously worked at FieldCore from January 2020 to November 2022 as a Field Engineer specializing in power plant generator excitation and turbine governor controls. Prior to that, John spent nearly two decades at GE Power, where roles included Technical Trainer and Commissioning Field Service, focusing on various turbine controls and voltage regulators. John’s career began at PG&E in the Instrumentation and Control (I&C) department, spanning a decade from 1990 to 2000. Educational background includes training as an Electronic Technician in the U.S. Navy and further studies at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
